Pydata NYC 2015

November 11 is Veteran’s Day in the United States, and that meant a midweek break from the Data Science bootcamp. There was no rest for the weary, though, as I headed off to the Bank of America Center to experience a day of the PyData conference.

It was a pretty good day. Between attending some great talks like those from Eric Ma, Homin Lee, and Solmaz Shahalizadeh, I spoke to some interesting companies. I especially enjoyed my chat with representatives from Dato. They took the time to explain why their product, GraphLab Create, is so great. I’m excited to try it out.

Unfortunately, I left before the Lightning Talks after the weariness of having woken up extremely early on the back of a inconsistent night of sleep became too much. I am very much looking forward to re-exploring the concepts I encountered, and watching the talks I missed once the videos are uploaded.
